Overall rating 4.5/5Starting its life in the 70s, the Volkswagen Golf is an iconic car and eight generations of Golf is a testament to this! It is also no wonder why it is the best-selling car in Europe and one of the best-selling cars in the world. All generations of the Golf's design and dimensions have remained resolutely committed to its original look and this hatchback has been well regarded for its build quality that is a notch above its competition. It’s been fifty long years since the Golf debuted and it’s impressive that Volkswagen has managed to move more than 37 million units.
It is one hatchback that feels premium, is built well, and comes with strong powertrain options. For more spirited drivers, Volkswagen always offered the Golf GTI, the OG hot hatch, along with other versions such as the hardcore Golf R. As a used buy, the Volkswagen Golf is a logical purchase. You get a mature and upmarket hatch back with poise and quality that will impress.
